Episode 100: Christopher Bradford Discusses Alchemy!

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Christopher Bradford to the show!

The Book of Coelius, by Christopher Bradford, presents a new system of practical alchemy rooted in the Western Hermetic Tradition. Kameothic Internal Alchemy is a distillation of ceremonial, alchemical and African-American conjure magic utilizing the practical methods of Hoodoo paired with Spagyric Alchemy to create change in the external world by working upon the individual from the Outside-In. While the system has roots in antiquity, it is a new tradition begun by the author and his brothers in the Ordo Octopi Nigri Pulveri. This book is the training manual of that order. Author Christopher Bradford covers such topics as the Language of the Birds, the use of the Picatrix, and describes alchemical tools of his own making, including the Staff of Imhotep. An explanation of the Spagyric Art as well as ritual practices and an analysis of Philalethes’ Font of Alchemical Truth are only some of the areas treated in depth and with the excruciating care one expects from an active practitioner of alchemy. Bradford, himself trained in the hermetic tradition, offers here an exciting new system for the practicing magician.

Part of the Guides to the Underworld series from Hadean Press. THE BOOK OF LAMBSPRING is a series of emblematic images through which the processes of Hermetic Alchemy are alluded to; it has proven completely impenetrable to the un-initiated, which has been the case for all of the true Alchemical texts. In this small manuscript, Christopher Bradford takes each of the emblems from THE BOOK OF LAMBSPRING and speaks with them to discern their meaning. The Alchemical wisdom held within will shine from it and enlighten the aspiring Alchemist, while hopefully leading the practiced Alchemist down well-trodden paths of wisdom.

Episode 96: Frater Alloy Discusses The Cthulhuian Mythos

    Tuesday March. 26, 2013 Live 8pm EST on www.para-x.com

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Frater Alloy to have a discussion on his work with the Cthulhuian Mythos.

Frater Alloy, a former Section Head of the Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros (IOT) in North America who has taught numerous classes pertaining to Lovecraft, Chaos Magic and wherever the twain shall meet. Alloy is still a very active member of the IOT and has worked with that organization both locally and abroad. Like his literary hero, he was born in Providence, Rhode Island and spends the vast majority of his time mining morbid media for ritually significant morsels.

He addresses the problems of contemporary Mythos magic and seeks to cooperatively revitalize it as a primary expression of the Chaos Magic current. It also seeks to create an authentic entry point into the Mythos paradigm without overwhelming the new student or otherwise falling victim to the pitfalls of over-generalization. The Great Old Ones are beings defined by their incomprehensibility as “known unknowns”. Much like the Taoists warn “That which can be named is not the eternal name” and in this case, even more so. Expressing the deepest primordial forces within cosmic experience, Lovecraft did not so much create the Great Old Ones as name them. Through these non-religious god forms we seek to penetrate the veil of morality and reason and enter a pre-human world of formless splendor and anarchy.

Episode 93: Sorcery and the Master with Guest Robin Artisson

    Tuesday March. 5, 2013 Live 8pm EST on www.para-x.com

Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Robin Artisson to the show!

Robin Artisson has been studying folklore and supernaturalism and practicing sorcery– in the true historical meaning of the word- for 19 years now, which is far longer than most people said he’d survive. He’s from South Louisiana, of Bernician (Anglo-Pictish) heritage, but also of Irish, Cajun and Sicilian descent. He grew up in the shadow of the last home of active and accepted supernaturalism in the United States: New Orleans, and the entire hairy, scary regions far south.

Robin is an herbalist, a devoted deep ecologist and animist, and a skilled practitioner of trance-healing and divination. By this, we mean to say that Robin spends a good deal of time inducing altered states of consciousness whereby he may interact with extra-sensory reality for the purposes of finding guidance for himself or others, or for healing purposes. He performs these works as an Owl-Doctor or Witch, informed by the fund of Provenance and Traditional lore from our common past.

Robin is a learned holistic healer, augurist, reader of omens, and a skilled dream interpreter. He is passionately in love with chess, very dark ale, religious philosophy and debate, historical re-enactment activities, occult studies, historical books and research, systems theory, the Robin of Sherwood BBC series (that is not the source of his name, however) and writing. He is a father and husband, and a student of life.

Robin holds a BA in European History/Anthropology, an MA in Criminal Justice and Policy Science, and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. He currently works in the field of Trouble and Pernicious Mischief, all alongside his writing, of course. He has written (currently) five books and countless articles online and in various publications. Chances are, if you’ve hung around the “pagan” internet, (such that it is) you’ve heard of him.
