Dr. Louie Martinié is the content editor for Black Moon Publishing and its three divisional imprints, BlackMoon Press, Left Hand Press and Obzene Press. His writings include the text to the New Orleans Voodoo Tarot (Destiny Books), Priest’s Head / Drummer’s Hands (Black Moon), and Dr. John Montanee; A Grimoire (Black Moon).

Louie has been in service to the New Orleans Voodoo Spiritual Temple since the Temple’s inception 27 years ago. He is a drummer, elder, and priest of the Temple. His practice syncretizes Bon/Tibetan Dzogchen Buddhism with New Orleans Voodoo and is expressed through the drum. Blanc Dan-i is the Master of his Head. The Marassa and the Buddhas sing within his heart.

Drum recordings include Ritual Drumming (Inner Traditions), Voodoo (Mambito – Best of New Orleans Music Series), tracts for the movie The Skeleton Key (NBC Universal). His studio/band work consists of over 30 albums.

He has received 3 grants from Xavier University to use drum rhythms to teach communication skills to persons with severe/profound handicaps. Louie has spent a year on sabbatical with Thubten Norbu, an elder brother to the 14th Dalai Lama, studying how Tibetans teach kindness. He is an honorary member of the Louisiana State Legislature, perhaps the most dangerous political body on the planet.

Shaelyn Grey was drawn to the occult at a very young age and was gifted her first Tarot as a young teenager, little did she know that it would become a major part of her life and her magickal practice. Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Agostino Taumaturgo back to the show to discuss his research and experience with magic in the Catholic Church.

Jason Spadafore (alias Agostino Taumaturgo) has been a student of Christian spirituality and magic for almost 30 years, specializing in theology and orthodox methods of manifestation. His father was a metaphysics teacher, and Jason learned much from him.

In addition to growing up around spirituality, Jason was ordained a traditionalist Roman Catholic priest in 2002, where he served in the Latin-Rite Catholic Community under Bishop Anthony Farr, and in 2007 was consecrated a bishop by Patrick Taylor of the Society of the Virgin Mary. After 13 years in the priesthood, in 2015 Jason returned to the magical community because exoteric ministry just isn’t his cup of tea.

Jason now writes, teaches, and lectures on spirituality, magic, and manifestation within a Christian paradigm, and is available for workshops, speaking engagements and one-on-one coaching. He can be reached at agostino@thavmapub.com.

Jason M. Colwell and Zac Lui welcome Devi Spring to the show to discuss her work on Hindu Conjure.

Devi Spring is a member of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers (AIRR). She have been practicing folk-magic since 1997, using knowledge gleaned from intensive independent study and practice, and through instructional interaction with other practitioners of various cultural forms of natural and folk-magic. She grew up in Florida, with a maternal family line that spans back into at least the mid-1800’s in New Orleans, and Mexican heritage through her father.

Devi has a Religious Studies B.A. from the University of Toronto, and has been trained and initiated in the Western ceremonial magick tradition through Temple of  Isis Urania, which she received initiation in the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math lineage of Gaudiya Vaisnava Hinduism, and has taken lay Buddhist vows at Tengye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Temple. She is also a Canadian Reiki Association registered Usui Reiki Master-Teacher who has maintained an energetic healing practice in Toronto since 2000, called Prana Devi Healing Arts.
