Incense expert Carl F. Neal Joins Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell to discuss his experience with crafting incenses and using them in magical ritual.
Carl Neal has been a student of incense since 1977. In 1995 he became a professional incense maker and has avidly researched incense ever since. He eventually set aside his retail incense business and focused on bringing an expanded awareness of incense to everyone who would read or listen. Networking with incense makers and users from around the world has given him a very different view of incense.
He is a self-professed incense fanatic who has been lucky enough to learn from a variety of incense makers from North and South America, Asia, and Europe. He has traveled across America leading incense workshops and discussions. He has been a frequent guest at Pagan festivals and gatherings where he spreads his enthusiasm for incense with vigor.
A strong supporter of community, Carl loves teaching about incense at all sorts of community events. Carl holds bachelor degrees in History and Sociology. He currently lives in the beautiful Willamette Valley in Western Oregon.

Born 1948 in Long Beach California, and raised in Columbus Nebraska — 1960s radical Peace activist and Epic Records song-writer and recording artist (Charley D. & Milo) he transformed himself into author, holy-man, humorist, wizard. Author of 16 critically acclaimed books (translated in 12 languages) on magick and the occult, Lon Milo DuQuette is one of the most respected and entertaining writers and lecturers in the field of the Western Mystery Traditions.
He is an internationally recognized authority on tarot and ceremonial magick. Reviewers have compared his wit and writing style to that of Mark Twain and Robert Benchley. Audiences at his workshops and seminars describe the experience as a cascade of mesmerizing information, laughter and terror.
Although he takes this subject matter very seriously, he tries not to take himself too seriously. This rare combination of scholarship and humor has earned him in the last 20 years a unique and respected position in the world American esoteric literature.
He lives in Costa Mesa, California with Constance his wife of 43 years.
Andrieh Vitimus and Jason M. Colwell welcome Mambo Vye Zo to tonight’s show to discuss her experience with Orthodox Haitian Vodou!
Komande la Menfo DaGinen is a Mambo Asogwe of Haitian Orthodox Vodou. Mambo Vye Zo’s journey to a djevo(the sacred initiatory chamber) in Jacmel, Haiti began 20 years ago when The Opener made Himself known to her, and became a guiding force in her life. All through her occult practice, Papa has shown the way, to stronger ritual, clearer vision and deeper faith.
In 1999, Mambo made a promise to serve Legba fully in Vodou, if he would open the way for her to do so. She found the opportunity to go to Haiti in January of 2003, and fulfilled her promise to serve in the capacity as Mambo. During her time in the djevo, the Lwa told her initiators that she was to be elevated to full rank, to be consecrated as Mambo Asogwe. She took the asson under a full moon during her suleliye ceremony.
She was crowned Mambo Vye Zo Komande la Menfo DaGinen (Old Bones Commands With a Strong Hand, of Ginen) in January of 2003
It was Mambo Vye Zo’s initiatory oath to the Lwa that she would strive to help gain recognition and validation for the Vodou faith. Her work as Mambo is dedicated to showing the world how beautiful the Vodou faith is, how generous the Lwa can be and how Vodou is the footprint for many of the faiths in the world today. She accomplishes this through ritual, art and teaching.
When asked why she does this work, her answer is simple “Because when I call to the Lwa, they answer.”
Andrieh Vitimus has come to the table with a background of many years of spiritual based magical practice. Jason Colwell spent as many years tracking the appearances of spirits into the mundane lives of clients. They have spent several years trading war stories and techniques. This episode, they discuss not only their personal ideas on how the spirit world functions, but also experiments they are working on to document spirit phenomena during rituals, as well as past trials.

Jason Miller (Rev. Inominandum) has devoted the last 17 years to studying Witchcraft and Magick in its many forms. He has traveled to and lived in New Orleans to study Hoodoo, in Europe to study Witchcraft, and in Nepal to study tantra. Miller is a member of the Chthonic Ouranian Temple, the Ordo Templi Orientis and the Sangreal Sodality, as well as an initiated Tantrika in the Nyingma and Bon lineages of Tibet. He is a regular contributor to Behutet, a journal of Magick. Miller lives with his wife on the New Jersey shore, where he practices and teaches Magick professionally.
Jason has authored two great books on practical magic. The Sorcerer’s Secrets and Protection and Reversal Magick: A Witch’s Defense Manual. He also offers a one year course on Strategic Sorcery. His books and products are available at inominandum.com

It is easy to get stressed out. You may even currently be between jobs. However; there are practical techniques that you can use to keep you head in the game and turn your situation around!
Carroll Poke Runyon describes himself as a Gentleman of the Old School which he defines as “One who recites classical poetry to heartless beauties while wrestling alligators”. He has lived out his Neo-Romantic philosophy as a Captain in the Green Berets, a student of Ninjutsu, a blue-water sailor, scuba diver, and a ceremonial magician.
His background in occult study and practice is extensive: in 1970, following a near-death experience, and a mystic vision, he became the founder of The Ordo Templi Astartes (O.T.A.). which is now America’s oldest continually operating Ritual magick Lodge. In 1980 Runyon received his Master’s Degree in cultural anthropology from California State University at Northridge, specializing in Magick. After graduate school he went through all the degrees of Freemasonry in both the Scottish and York Rites.
He then undertook an intense series of Tibetan tantric initiations and training sessions under the direction of H.E. Luding Khen Rinpoche of The Sakya Order, mastering the Vajra Yogini (Goddess of the Sorcerers) system. Runyon later received the Kalachakra initiation from H.H. The Dalai Lama.
Carroll Runyon has served as an officer in three active Golden Dawn temples. His articles on Magick and the Western Tradition have appeared in Gnostica magazine, and his Order’s journal The Seventh Ray. His most noted contribution to the post W.W. II occult revival has been his rediscovery, and subsequent development, of the facial reflection/distortion dark mirror scrying method for magical evocation. In 1974 he appeared as a guest on Tom Snyder’s network television Tomorrow Show narrating film footage of O.T.A. magical operations. In 1996, through his Church (The Church of the Hermetic Sciences, Inc.) Runyon wrote, produced and narrated a 75 minute video documentary entitled: The Magick of Solomon, and also authored its companion book The Book of Solomon’s Magick.
